i personally would go with a 8800gtx or gt since they are better then the 9800's.

the Nvidia site rates the 9800 as better then the 8800... the 9800 shows to be their top card.......
the 9 series and 8 series are duds... hence the fast release of the 10th generation cards.
Get a 260GTX and dont look back. The 260 series are 280's that didn't perform up to specs, so they changed a few things and call it the 260.
OR... get an ATI 4850
i had gotten the ATI 4850... no improvement in my gaming experience so i returned it.... apparently my 1950X is still good,(after i took the cooling fan and heat syncs off and cleaned it all up

9800s are just renamed 8800's, and the 8's are cheaper.

I just got my 260 and it blows my old 9600 GT out of the water! Seriously powerful card, beat my friends 9800 GX2. My only warning would be the size, it really is huge and weighs almost 5 pounds! I had to remove my bottom two HD bays so it would fit comfortably.
