Click here to view the full version : Gaming Laptop for about 650
Hey all, calling all you experts out there. I'm looking for a decent laptop, that can handle some games, and the upcoming came Diablo 3. I dont need it to be like super super crazy fast, something that would be able to handle those types of games. Doesn't really matter what company it is, just as long as its good.
And maybe something that can run cad too.(i think its like 4gigs of ram? not sure). This can be secondary.

Listen....for 650 you won't find anything to meet those needs.
Dell has higher end XPS systems that may play D3 when in comes out, however they own alien ware now and that would be a better shot. These are desktop replacements though, and portability and 'lap-ability' are low.
If your set on a laptop and you want to game your looking at 1500-3000 Bucks Easy. If you want a laptop to fart around with 650 could get you something.
Whatever you do: Stay away from compaq / hp. I know people hate dell, but build quality on them is much better than HP. Toshibas are decent and sonys are good too.
Yeah, $650 will get you something to browse the internet and do MS documents with.
We ended up biting the bullet and shelling out around $1500 for my laptop, but in a few years, it won't be completely obsolete, so it'll be worth it!
I got a Fujitsu Lifebook.
2.1ghz, 3GB RAM, 250GB shock-protected HD, HDMi port, E-SATA port, all that jazz.
Build a desktop for those needs. Then get a cheap used laptop to surf the net and do regular work.

build a desktop for like around 1.5k tops, and it will destroy any laptop
