Click here to view the full version : So... heard of a new microsoft OS AND the end result
So my buddy told me about this new thing called Mojave and wanted me to take a peek at it since they knew how much I absolutely hate vista to see if I'd like what they have to offer. After watching the advertisement for it and taking a little walkthrough, I realized what he was trying to do... it was one of those things to try to trick you into thinking that its actually a NEW operating system, but the reality is that it IS vista but with a different look... and every feature is the same.
I caught on after realizing how much I hated the looks of it, and then he realized that I wasn't gonna fall for it. Basically he was trying to see if I was just a hater without a purpose... ha, was he wrong!
I dono if they still have the previews online, but look up the Mojave Experiment... some of you might fall for it if you can find it, others who have used Vista and hated it will catch on in a hurry.

Windows 7, as it's called, is based on Vista just like every OS they make is based on the previous one. The few screenshots they've shown so far show the old Vista skin only because they've been working on more important, core stuff like performance, leaving the bells & whistles for the end (the opposite of what they did with Vista, which was all about the CPU-hogging special effects). They've got MSIE 8 in beta already too since IE7 bundled with Vista and hasn't been adopted well, and the new IE is dramatically faster. Hopefully they'll bring that kind of speed to the new OS.
Vista has been one of the great embarassments in the history of Microsoft, everyone knows it inside the company and out, so the fire is burning bright under them to actually do something decent this time. We'll see how they do...

That is what my first impression was, it was the same old vista, but trying to get people to see it and maybe trick them into thinking it was something new. But jang you said they were making more system changes to improve performance? I would think so since like you said vista is really an embarrassment for microsoft and it actually is. It was supposed to be the operating system to beat apple's OS with improved functionality and "eye candy" changes made.

Actually, the whole Mojave thing was just to fake out those who had a prejudice to Vista. Its not actually the new OS thats being written and programmed.
Why microsoft didn't TEST their product before release is beyond me, Vista has been nothing but nightmares for everyone (our school (college) got rid of it in less than a few months)
Ahhhhh I didn't even really look at it, just took your word for it being a waste of time :lol:
The reasons I dislike Microsoft very much were just supported even more with their Mojave experiment. They lie to their customers so they can come out as the victor. If it isn't lying it's something else such as lawsuits.
Vista=Epic Fail no matter what...
also they said they wouldnt support XP after Vista came out but i think it was amost a year after they released Service Packet 3 for XP :confused: also, walmart isnt selling Halo 2 (Only for Vista) anymore lol
Cheers,
-John-
there is plenty of reasons why XP will be out for years to come... companies like honeywell and medtronics that use XP based stuff on their machines... they don't want to have to upgrade all their software and hardware, that = LOTS of $$$.
