Been having a lot of issues with ASUS and their so called "support" lately.

For my side job, I build and fix computers for people... and lately I've been gettin hit with people who want to spend the absolute minimum to build a new pc. So here is where I have been running into problems, that leaves me with ASUS mobo's and AMD processors Recent order was for an M2A-VM board and the Athlon 64 X2 5000 black edition. BOTH show up DOA.

Called ASUS... no support help. They simply hung up when I told them that the fans would be the only things to turn on, no beeps and no POST.

Called AMD, suggested to just ship it back and to get replacement.

Called tiger (they already expected my call), sounds like they had my return authorization waiting upon my call... was darn near hastle free.

Anyone else struggling with ASUS lately? Been having a lot of problems with these at school too for our A+ class. Its a great learning board since they fail so often!

If it's DOA don't you send it back to the place where you bought it?

depends on how well the support is with the place you bought it from. Many times, retailer will tell you to get a return authorization with the manufacturer. in this case, Tiger did the right thing and gave me one. I just wanted to cover all of my bases.
