I love this game! Does anybody play it at all? Its the most realistic racing game I've ever seen for any format (PC for me).

Does it beat the rest of the current race sims/games out there right now?
I play on PC with this (mock ps3 controller from Logitech) but the game is fully compatible out of the box with any standard Xbox360 controllers with a USB adaptor:

I played all modes of the demo on Xbox and promptly deleted it. It's very arcade compared to the Gran Tourismo series and Forza. However, it's not as arcade as NFS, so it's still fun. I definitely liked the drift mode, but for me, it's real sim or bust.

Huh, thats interesting. Most people I've talked to (or read on other forums) said that this game was too sim-like for them. The NFS series are way to arcade for me (you crash and nothing happens... you just keep going... especially nfs carbon on the wii... ugh, its fun on the wii-mote but.. .gosh its ugly and unrealistic).
I haven't played the Gran Tourismo or Forza games because neither are for the PC. How do they compare? I've seen screenshots for both and they seem to be on par with Grid, if not a little less graphics intensive (depending on the console). You say they are the closest you can get to "simulator?"
They feel very different from eachother but Gran Turismo seems closer in actual driving dynamics, though Forza is much more sensitive on the controls by default. It's a difference in how they translate the vast differences between a controller and how much input you'd be giving real pedals & steering. GT has nicer graphics, Forza has significantly better customization.
Have you ever tried TOCA? I think that's the best big name sim for the PC -- another Codemasters masterpiece (I only played the PS2 version but the physics are identical).

I thought the demo for GRID was awesome!!
I just haven't went out to buy it.
Forza 2... IMO feels MUCH better the Gran Turismo. But in reality, Gran Turismo is more realistic.
However my favorite racing series is Midnight Club. I LOVE that series even though it isn't realistic its just so fun!!
Another great racing game is DiRT, i thought it was pretty realistic

I've played Dirt on the PS3 (thats what instigated me getting into racing sims). Thats by codemasters as well.
Yeah DiRT is a good one, latest in the incomparable Colin McRae Rally series. Finished all modes of that on the XBox  TOCA used again the same engine (or is at least from the exact same lineage), but included many forms of racing from Caterhams to formula open wheel to rallycross to monster trucks.
