I downloaded it, and on certain posts, it has this really big gap... see below

Do you think there is a setting I could change? It's kind of strange, and makes the threads longer.
Also, anybody else have it and like it?

In some threads I get that rather annoying gap, and in other threads it's normal. I don't know what causes it, but I'd certainly bring it to Mozilla's attention as a possible bug/flaw. This is the only forum that the gap problem happens on. Odd I think.
As far an overall impression of FF3? I like it, but I do miss the Faster Fox add-on I had on FF2.
i like the changes. only thing thus far thats bothered me is the text field in chatzilla doesn't always become active when i click it since upgrading. and i don't think mozilla develops chatzilla anyways.
Seems a lot like FF2. A few minor changes that I really like, such as you can start typing in to the address bar at the top and it will give titles of pages you've visited to try and find the one you want.
i love that part like say you where looking at some random site that had Yamaha in the title
just type in Yamaha and it pops up with everything that you've gone to that had Yamaha in the title, its really cool and alot faster then clicking through your history
i also like some of the new features like ID info for secure sites(such as ebay)

Those gaps are where someone makes a quote. For some reason on this website these do not show. (This is the only site I havenoticed this) I have an idea and will experiment and post back here with my results.
EDIT: I have noticed those gaps are there even when there is not a quote.
I thought that maybe by allowing third party cookies and disabling adblock plus this problem would go away. I was wrong. :(
Maybe JANG should have a look. I suspect he would know far more that any of us what could be the cause this.

for me, FF3 always crashes at random times and there are many weird bugs
I can't believe they changed the rendering engine yet again. Big step backwards for site owners. Now we have to debug for IE6, IE7, FF2, and FF3. Four distinctly separate browsers each with its own quirks. Unbelievably frustrating.
I'll start looking into it over the coming month or so. Unfortunately it won't be fast because I've got higher priorities. Thanks for pointing out these new problems though.
Funny aside: Mozilla recruiters actually tracked me down a couple weeks back and I had a phone interview. I hadn't seen FF3 at all nor read anything about it, and one guy askd me what I'd like to improve in Firefox in general. I had nothing to go on so I had to think about it from scratch. Came up with a concept and started fleshing it out and describing it, and it turns out it was one of the big things they added in FF3. Scored big points with that  Too bad for them I'm just starting in a brand new position at PayPal -- not a good time to leave.

I love firefox version 3. I wish my add ons fit it when I had the older version. I t hasn't crashed on me or had any weird bugs even after a month.

i get the same thing
Same thing happens to me. Even on IE. Dont know why it came out so wide...maybe because i'm running dual monitors?

Your screenshot does not show any bug that I can see.
Now that i look at it more i guess i am used to people having signature's.
Firefox 3 has grown on me and I've really come to love it. I don't think I could go back. Too many small features that I use all the time.
eh I have absolutely no problem with it... I love FF3. FF2 is dead to me.
Good news, I figured out what is causing the gap. Bad news, fixing it causes other problems, so the gap is going to stick around a little longer. Soon enough I'll be upgrading to a much, much newer version of the forum software, though, and when I do that, the problem will finally be fixed for good.
YAY!
I have the gap and it does get annoying in long threads...
