Hello guys/girls.
Firstly, I want to say, this is not a joke. Sadly, I was the culprit of this last night. If you've already been hit by the MSN Virus (thats what I call it, you'll see why soon), you'll know what I'm talking about, but if you haven't, please be careful.
Last night at around 9:30, I was talking to people like I usually do. Then my one friend sends me something. It reads something along these lines:
Is this really you?
http:// (somethinggoeshere)/(somethingelsehere)/(youremailaddress)
Well, seeing as I thought he was really typing to me, I clicked it.
Wrong Idea. It was a virus, and within seconds, that same quote was sent to everyone online, on my MSN at that time. Only thing changed was the emailaddress at the back.
As you can probably see, this is a huge chain. Its unstoppable. My antivirus couldn't even find it.
It automatically keeps sending it to everyone online every few minutes.
Supposidly, the only way to get rid of it, is making a new email address. Sounds easy, but not when you have soo many contacts/friends.
So, if you see something like that quote, just don't open it, its not worth it.
I'll keep you guys updated on what happens. So far, it only effects MSN, and the email you were logged on with.
Just thought I would tell you guys, so you don't get hit with it.
Matt
