Laptop battery life?

Just wondering what everybodies avg. battery life is on there lap tops?

I have a Toshi lappy thats not to bad, its good for Uni but the battery life seems horrendous, like 2 hours or so.

It seems shockin, but what is the avg?

Is there anyway to improve battery life? I don't know, laptops aren't my thing lol.

Yes there is a way. I know if you have vista you can go through the settings and change it. Also dont havee the backlight up all the way.

I get 2.5 to 3.5 hours with my Dell latitude 830 with a 55Wh battery.

You could increase your run time by getting a battery with a higher Watt-Hour(Wh) or Ampere-Hour (Ah) rating.

I played around with it and get 3h plus now. All good.

I get a little over 2 hours out of my ACER, but I have the settings cranked.
When im not on a plane or in a vehicle with it though I take the battery out and just run it off my charger to keep the battery life up.
