I haven't had an anti virus on my computer for MONTHS... But Avast is deff the best IMO. Nortons cost money, and it blocks all games by default and you have to fix that, which sometimes doesn't even work. After a year or something, you gotta pay more. Avast is free 100% and updates all the time and you get that wonder voice "Virus database has been updated!"
Plus, I think Avast has better protection anyways. Avast = Trojan Nortons = Cheap Durex ones you get from the hospitals.
Just my opinion though :)

NOD32 here, have been using it for about 2 years and nothing else even comes close.
Well, I have an XP with AVG...but I run a virtual system so I have a dual OS interface that also runs Linux Ubuntu. I don't use an antivirus with Ubuntu. I don't even know of one.

MAC! LOL! [Dual boot with Vista]
AVG and Comodo firewall. Running Vista.
My antivirus isnt even on there. I use AntiVir from Avira. I have been using it for ~ 2years now and have never had a problem. I have used AVG, Norton, Macafee and hated them all. Then i used Trend Micro and liked it but in the end decided to try the free ones and found that Antivir is great. The only downsides are the occasional splash screen, and it doesnt scan e-mail. But I have always used internet e-mail anyway so I dont need e-mail scanning.
On my Mac I dont have an antivirus and when i boot Kubuntu on my PC I dont use an antivirus.
ok you computer guru's, whats a good (preferably free) antivirus to run on my laptop with vista, soon to be windows 7??? ive tried nod 32, did a scan with it after a week or so, found nothing, then activated norton and it found a cookie... so no nod, lol
