I have been wanting to get a laptop for a long time now and i'm not too sure what is decent for a computer, I just want to use it for surfing the net, maybe some video editing....general stuff like that.....and now that i'm getting my tax refund soon, i'm trying to find the right one.
Here is the link to the one i was looking at:

I was thinking if i got this one^^ i could also buy a savage and some flm and a mamba max for my rusty!!
or maybe: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8661897&type=product&id=1196470790599
I don't know too much as far as specs on computers so any help to help me decide would be appreciated.
Also if you xcan think of any thing better that is $600-$700 MAX lmk.
Thanks

The presario would be much, much nicer than the first one. The presario has a Pentium M dual core, and the Toshiba has a crummy Celeron processor. Is there a specific retailer that you would like to order from? Are you opening to ordering online?

I would go for this one.

I am a huge fan of Acers, it has a large amount of memory, a 160gig hard drive, a Core Solo processor, reads and writes DVD's, a large 17 inch screen, and an integrated webcam!

i was told by many people that the acer's are junk, but i don't know....my buddy had an acer and said it was crap.....is there any truth to this......maybe they've come a long way in the last year or two.
I have an Acer a good year old...On it right now. They're good, sure there are better, but not by much. Nothing really wrong/bad with it
I've heard a lot of good stuff about Acer's. Mostly that they last forever. In fact my first computer was a 133mhz Acer.

I still have my original Acer lappy. Its working great, I use it every day.
I prefer Dell personaly. Great product and the best customer support I have talked to.
Lemme Just say this
Toshi=Mid grade Stuff-Good for everyday use
Dell=****-Sorry i REALLY dont like Dell(I`ll NEVER own another)
Tough Dell is what my Dad uses at work for Working on phone systems Soo yea if that tells you anything....
IMB=Decent computers for Everyday/Mild Gamming(or other High CPU usage programs)
Or if you want something for ULTRA usage
look at an AlienWear Notebook...lol if you want to spend that much
I haven't always been the biggest fan of Dell. But I do like that they are now selling Desktop Linux computers (they've sold linux servers forever).

Dell desktops are mediocre and laptops are far less than satisfactory. They aren't portable, and they're overpriced. I would suggest an Acer, Sony, or an IBM
Best laptop is going to be the one you decide gives you the features you want for the price you are willing to pay. Here is the place to shop for any technology. If you are willing to be patient when you see your deal you will know it. Just use the coupons or follow the written instructions. Good luck. http://www.techbargains.com/
