well i am looking to get a laptop for light game playing but mostly internet and school work. i was wonder what woudl a good laptop be.
and what shoudl i look for in a laptop.

The bad parts is it's hard to find a computer that comes with Windows XP. The good news is the computers are much faster now a days.

Acer makes some good lappy's. Look for long battery life and a decent video card.

I got an acer and I use it for the same stuff you plan on using it for. Very good computer, I got no complaints.

on both of those i would probly take off vista and start over with xp

Check out all the cool software it comes with!!!! I heard these programs help speed up the already very fast, low-memory usage Vista!!!!

jk, They both look good as long as you take all that crap off. Better yet just re-format with vista or xp and add some more ram. Or of course you can use linux by it's self or as a dual-boot (I always have to throw that in).

i was thinking going linex never tried it but i herd it good for what i plan on doing, or just plan old xp. i woudl deffantly get 2 gigs of ram first thing

I just read the list of new features in the new Ubuntu and I can say I'm very excited. Everything from the look to excellent support of most any hardware. My favorite is the overall new theme.
