GIMP Help!

I'me having problems with GIMP v2.2. When I use the "Slect hand drawn regions" button I can freeform select an object, but when you release on the mouse button it doesn't leave an outline so you can move/copy the objects. The elliptical and rectangle tool work fine, I can select an object and move it, but the free form tool doesn't. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling GIMP and it still doesn't work. Please help, half the things I do on GIMP I use this.

Still doesn't work with caps lock on or off.

I'll try to see if I can see what's going on in sometime during the day, for some reason my GIMP is not liking me now either though...

What mode is the freeform tool in? If it's not in one of the first two selectable modes, then it won't highlight the image correctly.

They probly have some stupid keyboard shortcut setup for it that you hit on accident...I usually end up changing the brush I'm using with the keyboard shortcuts like that all the time. Gets kind of annoying after awhile.
