extra keyboard controls....

iv got this almost brand new computer(hp pavillion a1560n) and it came wit this tricked out keyboard.
the keyboard has sleep, search, club hp, internet, info, e-mail, eject disk, media controls(Play,prev,next,stop,burn) and volume buttons at the top of the board
all of these buttons worked untill i did an automatic internet update from hp, now all none of these keys work except for the sleep button. does anyone know a solution to this, any help is appreciated.

Have you double checked that the update didn't disable the sleep function? I don't know why it would, but that would make the button not work.

no i think youve got it backwards, all of the buttons stopped working EXCEPT the sleep button....
and i checked em today and all of them seem to be working again. my computer's screwed up, i have to go into the boot menu just to restart my computer
