For cereal, there are tons of free video converters out there. However, if you need it just to play it, just use VLC media player. it can play anything form divx to .BIN files.

Canopus Procoder 2, Cucusoft AVI to DVD, or DVD Santa.

Procoder is the best IMO.

I have Cucosoft to convert DVD to Zune, and it also converts DVD to almost anything. It's easy to use, but pricey for the version w/o a watermark.
