tried one of these awile ago with not much of a response, so heres a version with a much wider range of software

ask a question reguarding graphic art, and me or any other lurking graphic artists who want to pitch in, will try to help ya out

i personally work with:

graphics and layout:
photoshop
illustrator
indesign
quarkxpress (meh...)

video stuff:
premiere
virtualdub(mod)
avisynth scripting

these are just what i work with and are totally comfortable answering questions about. i use other video and graphic programs too, so feel free to ask whatever you want. theres just a better chance i'll know the answer if it regards these programs.

again, i encourage other graphic artists (or just people who know the answers ;) ) to pitch in

I'm proficient in microsoft paint. I can draw some mean....circles ;) Seriously though, I took a 2-year CAD class, so I'm pretty good with that. Graphic design is just not my cup o' tea, however.

Edit: for editing CS vids, I use Sony Vegas.

for what it's worth, i'm teaching myself after effects during my downtime at work.
i own a copy of vegas 4. i can do basic in/out, paste, ect. i kind of moved on from it though because i didn't like how it handled keyframing.
/not proficient in either

I do Gimp and photoshop. Gimp is just the free version of photoshop. I am not too proficient but it's not my career.

I use flash for my vector graphics and animation, I like the fact you can scale a flash object to any size without losing resolution. In 3d, I mainly use Moray and Povray, I like the freeware nature of those programs and how you can get graphics to look like real images quickly.

though nobody is actually asking for advice, i at least feel confident enough to give some advice in after effects if needed.
