Waited in line an hour this morning to get a reservation for the wii, my local gamestop is only getting 11 of them in and I am #9 on the list. Looked on ebay and looks like they are selling for $400-$800 already. Debating if I should sell or not. Any one else get one?

I got to the my gamestop at around 10:15am, there was probably 6 other people in line when I got in. So I waited for like 15 mins, and 4 people went through. Then the cashier was like, "sorry, didn't realize there was this line, that guy right there is getting the last one". I of course was right behind that guy......
Guess I'll have to camp out the night before it comes out at a store, or wait for another store to start pre-orders.

Honestly, I think the people selling Wii's and PS3's on E-Bay right now are retarded, and those that are bidding on them as well. The Wii will not run short of supply this holiday season, so how the hell can they get away with selling it online for 3 times as much money? The PS3, while it will run short of demand, isn't sold out yet, so the same question, how can people be selling these for 3-4 times what they're worth, before the product is sold out? Hell, before the product is actually released. I just don't understand it.

^^ So true....

There is no way that I'd pay for an extremely overpriced system. I'll take my chances with buying one at a store....

They sound pretty cool and like they give quite a good exercise while playing.

Eh...with all the crap that followed the 360 launch, I think I'll wait a while on the Wii. Nintendo usually has everything figured out before launch, but you never know.

Wait how are the people that are selling them on ebay retarded? Those are the smart people making a few thousand dollars by waiting in a line for a few hours.

For the 2 reasons I posted. 1. The Wii WILL NOT run short of demand. The reason the prices and such of the Tickle Me Elmos were so high on eBay a few years ago is because the demand outweighed the supply, basic economics. 2. The PS3, while probly running short on demand, at the time of my previous post, wasn't out yet, and was not guaranteed. Thus, people online selling their reserves for it are retarded, because they cannot guarantee delivery of a product. If they have a PS3 now, and people are willing to pay the high price for it, well, then they're making money basically off of a stupid marketing ploy.

Nintendo specifically made sure they wouldnt run out of wii's for the holiday, they're the company that actually cares about consumers :D . (nintendo fan, cant ya tell?) and it is really quite retarded to buy a system and then turn around and sell it on ebay....retarded and wrong.

Ill keep my good old Xbox system and deal with what i got. None of these new systems do anything for me anyways. Pc is the way to go for me!

eh ive never really like pc games, doesnt feel natural. i feel more "at one" with a game if im gripping a controller in my hand, rather than staring at a keyboard trying to figure out what to press to open up my menu. But dont get me wrong PC games look great, just not a fan.

I have about 30 hours logged on my wii with ZERO problems. And I have to say it's the most fun I have ever had on a game system. If you have the money and access to getting one I highly reccomend it. And by the way, there is only going to be 4 million WORLD WIDE by the end of the year. the US population is roughly what 300 mil? with millions of nintendo fans, I think we'll be short.

im sure it'll continue to be that way, nintendo makes grand products. i went through 4 ps2's before i came close to breaking my first gamecube (it eventually broke and im on my second). but i swear i saw that nintendo would have 4 million for the u.s. alone. i may be mstaken and maybe i read wrong. im not concerned about the # of nintendo fans in all the world just in my general area, there are a lot but i doubt i'll be without one by the end of the year.
