Does anyone know how to use VideoDub?

I just downloaded VideoDub, a video editing software. Could someone help me on how to add introductions, like a colored screen with words? Or is there a better video editing software?

its called virtualdub, not video dub

without a doubt the most powerful freeware editor ever made (well, there's virtualdubmod, which i use)

i don't have it on this computer (at work) but it would be in the video filters. i don't recall the name though. look for something along the lines of "title".


virtualdub is NOT for beginners though. i don't suggest you use it, since it sounds like you don't know anything about video.

what OS are you using? windows comes with windows movie maker installed, and mac has imovie.
neither are hard to learn.

I have windows 98se, but I looked and I dont have movie maker installed. I looked on google for it, but I can only find the XP version download.

i think the earliest verison with WMM was windows ME.
the XP version may work though. give it a try. if not, be prepared to drop some money on a decent editing software.
cause not to be rude, but theres no way you'll learn to use vdub effectively without having a background in video editing, or reading alot of tutorials
