Gran Turismo 4 Challange

Following in the footsteps of the Forza Challange, I have decided to make a GT4 Challange. And to start it off, we have a challange on Nurburgring. Here are the rules for the challange and more challanges to come.

-The car/truck we will be using will be stock (no oil changes, tires, ANYTHING)
-You must run the lap not a friend of anyone else
-Im not going to require any proof (photos) that you ran the time you said unless it is so outlandish that we all call BS on it. For example a sub 8 minute run with a Fiat 500 is impossible.
-Have fun, this thread is about comparing and learning from each other, not fighting.
-Challanges will be updated every week or so
-Once you post a lap time, you cannot come back after you run a faster lap and repost. The lap time you post the first time is the one you stick with.

So our first challange is to post the your fastest lap time around Nurburgring with a stock Dodge Ram 1500. Ill start it off.

Damn that car oversteers bad when on the brakes. Was wondering if it had more than 3 gears at times as well :)

8.52.247, it has a couple of secs to go yet, I screwed up and got a wheel on the sandtrap at Pflanzgarten and lost around 80mph because of it, that lost 2-3 secs I'm certain. Using a DS2, with all traction control etc turned off.

Perhaps if the track didn't take ~9 mins to lap more people might be interested. To do 5 laps back to back to get a feel for the car is too long for a lot of people on the ring. I love it though :D

Yep! I did the lap I posted with no prior practice with that truck on the Ring. I should have ran a few more...

Heh. I spent my 37K on it and went straight from the showroom to the ring, ran 5 laps and my time posted was my 5th. Not really driven the trucks in GT4 before.
