Anyone done it/going to do it? After I buy a case (If I find a cheap one) at the Hamfest next weekend, I'm going to set one up to get $10 from www.peacefire.org. You don't really need a fast computer, the one I'm going to set up will be a dedicated server. It will be running the following: ( )

-400MHZ AMD-K6-2 processor
-416MB of SDR PC133 RAM
-8.4GB HDD
-ASUS Mobo
-CD-RW out of a Dell

and probably a wireless PCI card so I won't have to get another line, and so I can just basically plug it into the wall and boot it up and leave it sitting without it causing mess or taking up too much room. I emailed the webmaster about these specs, and he said it doesn't take much at all to run one, and since I got all this stuff free, it's a win-win situation.

my question is, if your on your home PC and your net connection why run a proxy avoidance?

now if you are doing this at your work (and the IT guy is worth a snot) you will be busted rather quick, one if the new unknown IP addy doesn't get you busted, the net log will.

Not worth the possible trouble to use the circumventer. Better to just let the IT department know when a site you need is blocked, and not worry about the other sites till you get home.
