Halo: the game for thirteen and fourteen year-old posers with a knack for screaming, "UR GAY CUZ U USED BEST WEAPON IN GAME!!1!!" Halo is possibly the most unbalanced, unplayable piece of multiplayer crap ever produced. :devious:
I play Call of Duty 2, where the balance problems can be counted on one hand, not 7, like Halo. :D
And WOW is a good game, it's just rather addicting. I'd play it but I fear it would consume my life.

How is halo unbalanced, everyone has the same opportunity. Balance.
Bingo p2k. Now DF BHD is pretty balanced just like Joint Ops, both of the games are fast paced also.
Halo 1 is balanced. Halo 2 isn't. If you play Halo 1, congratulations, you're playing a five year old game and have nothing better to do with your life. If you're playing Halo 2, well, you have a troubled mind. I've played enough Halo to know that A) "equal oppurtunity" is full of crap, as how is it equal when you spawn next to a guy wielding the energy sword when you have the SMG — it may seem to be equal oppurtunity to get the sword, but what if someone spawns right next to it? Hmm, what if they spawn next to it and you spawn next to a pistol? That's not equal. Equal would be everyone spawning with the sword or near one. Therefore, by having only one sword, one sniper, and one shotgun per map and starting with an SMG, the game is unbalanced. B) Vehicles, in any way, shape, or form, are the bane to all multiplayer FPS existence. Let's set up a scenario: I spawn next to a Wraith with an SMG. I get run over by the Wraith. Balance means equal chances to win on both sides — so let's run the scenario most common on Terminal. Team A spawns in the Warthog garage. Team B spawns by the Wraith. Team A procedes to lose, as the team that controls the Wraith wins the game. What is Team A supposed to do? They don't have the Wraith, a sniper on Team B is watching for people to try and board it, and there's a guy running around with n00b combo. There is no such thing as balance in that scenario. Not one bit. Another situation is Ascension. Whoever controls the rockets and the Banshee will win. If that team gets its hands on a sniper as well, you might as well quit. Balance means equal oppurtunity. The way Halo 2 is set up inspires no such thing. H2 is a game of controlling the power weapons and vehicles, with absolutely zero skill required to push R and kill someone with the sword. It is a game of "OMG GOTSTA GET TEH SWorD!1!" It is a game of pure, ridiculous, inane testereone with no realism (energy shields anyone?*) that people of minimal intelligence think is really cool. Do yourself a favor, and try to play a real FPS.
*Haha, you're going to say that CoD2, my favorite game, has shields and that it's equally stupid. The difference is that CoD2 actually has one-hit kills. If you get shot in the face with a pistol one time in CoD2, you're dead. Instantly. Now go do that in H2. They'll go hide and recharge their shields, pick up a sword, and push R. (Colloquially known as the "win" button in Halo 2.)

JANG, I remember my brother being addicted to Diablo II as well. He said he wants to play WoW, but won't bring himself near it as he fears he'll be addicted by Blizzard once more.

actually....when using the sword, B is the best melee attack button.
R is infinitely better. B is for hitting a whole bunch of times when you're in a room full of people, but the lock-on characteristics of using R are a better advantage. All you have to do when you use R is put your aimer on the victim and press the button. B would require running up to them and hoping they don't strafe to the side and stick you. By the way: I think you're missing the point. ;)

seems like you know quite a bit about Halo for not liking it very much.
I played it when I first got an Xbox. Got to 25 in Team Slayer and a 21 in Snipers before I switched over to MLG rules and started playing custom games. I wasn't that great, but I put in enough hours to be relatively competitive. Still occasionally got to LAN parties, but mostly to play other games and hang out. Last one I went to I played one game of Halo 2 before I got disgusted and put in CoD2.

This actually weakens what you're trying to say — by playing Halo as much as I did, I am able to understand and explain the game more clearly than someone who sits behind the computer all day and says it's cheap. Experience talks. As of right now I have gone through the whole Halo fad and am playing no more than I have to.
BTW: I'm sick of thread-jacking and near flaming. Let's end the madness before it gets too out of hand, please?

So no, that wasn't a rant. ;) More of a generalized statement of opinion.

Halo 1 and 2 are for 12 year old girly-boys. Anyone can be good at games like those. Now, being good at a game like Counter-Strike actually takes practice.
Counterstrike, Delta Force, Joint Ops, and BF 1942 take skillz. Pwn3d
Weren't you the one talking about how played Halo? Oh yeah, here it is:
Halo, AT Savage, bring it.
Owned.
