sony vaio

got a sony pcg-717 lappy. its got some issues.

cracked case
lcd screen cable is iffy but does work so wont mess with it.
32mb ram
200mhz intel MMX
2gb HD
8yr old LI-ION pack that dont last but 20min on its own. (it needs lifesupport "the wall charger")
it had OS issues, so i installed win98se now some thigns work and some dont. mostley driver issues. if i could get mostley the software kinks fixed its just fine for what i want which is field radio programing (ie. motorola radios and stuff) and internet. other than that wont be asking much from it. but if the software worked better id invest in some ram for it and a new battery maybe even a bottle of supper glue to fix the cracked case.:lol:

ive tryed my little bit of computer know how but this thing is beyond me. so would it be worht seeing how much to get it fixed?

try and find the right drivers for it through sony, see if that helps.

as for selling you wont get much for it, and it would cost more than its worth to fix it.

save up and get a new one.

Ya. That isn't even worth messing with. Buy the time you get it performing consistent and good, you could have bought a new lappy, with better specs.
