So then go to Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore
wow. i had no idea that was there.
thank you!!
ah! dangit!
still got no where.
that only allows me to restore my computer up to 3 months back.
i want to restore it so only the stuff that came with the computer is on it.
get it to where it was when i first baught it
all the files are on a hidden partion of the hard drive, if you can't get to it via F10 for HPs (I beleave, try them all), but couldn't get it to relaod right on my buddies folks PC so 15 bucks and phone call to HP to get the retore CD's. and he had a full set of disks.
what sucks is back in the day HP got the bright idea to do this and NOT provide the disk to save cost. Dell also does the hidden partion thing, but at least they give a set of disks as well.
also on the boot-up to switch it back from showing the system info, the TAB key usaly does that.

You could hit one of the f buttons i forgot when starting up . Itll allow you to wip your computer to its original factory setings . Just as if you took it out of the box .
