Introducing ... Wii.

As in "we."

While the code-name Revolution expressed our direction, Wii represents the answer.

Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everybody else.

Wii will put people more in touch with their games ... and each other. But you re probably asking: What does the name mean?

Wii sounds like "we," which emphasizes this console is for everyone. Wii can easily be remembered by people around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.

Wii has a distinctive "ii" spelling that symbolizes both the unique controllers and the image of people gathering to play.

And Wii, as a name and a console, brings something revolutionary to the world of video games that sets it apart from the crowd.

So that's Wii. But now Nintendo needs you.

Because, it s really not about you or me.

It's about Wii.

And together, Wii will change everything.

Whoever came up with that name needs to be used for target practice for small-arms n00bs... It would make it longer, more fun, and more painful for nintendo...

The Revolution is going to outsell the 360, and possibly the ps3. The GBA and DS have outsold every other system. Nintendo isn't going to have another Lamecube.

I dont think it will out sell either systems. Nintendo has gone downhill. They owned the hand helds until PSP came out. The other systems just have too much goin for them. I love old nintendo, but new nintendo isnt very good in my opinion. The NES, one of my fav systems and the reason i love games, SNES, great system, N64, one of the best systems ever created, ever. I thought N64 pwned PSX and any sega system..but once nintendo brought out the gamecube, they started goin downhill. I love the old systems, dont get me wrong, but nintendo will need something amazing, even more than the revolution or WII to get back into the gaming world.

At least nintendo is being creative with their names, even if they do sound stupid. I mean, come on, PS1, PS2, PS3........lame.

You won't be able to tell how it'll do against the other systems until it comes out.....leave it at that.
