Right now I have a monitor I use and then a monitor sitting on the floor getting dust on it, I want to hook them both up so I can run dual monitors. What do I need to get to do this?
Usually you need a dual monitor video card. All of the current ATI Radeons (that I have seen) have this capability, and some Nvidia based cards have it too. I am using an ATI Radeon 9600 All-in-Wonder with 128mb of RAM. Here's a pic of my setup:

I've been using the same dual monitor setup since the first ATI Radeon VE video card came out (at least 4 years ago), and dual monitors are fun! As you can see, I have my email open on the right, and Internet Explorer on the left. For homework, I can have a word processing program on one monitor, and some research tool open on the other. It makes life so much easier!
Yeah, one of my friends has a beautiful set up, hes got his computer then 2 identical hp flatscreens set up on dual monitor. he runs hes music and msn on on side and then his browsing on the other. Then if hes got homwork its usuall that one on side and then the msn, browsing and music on the other. its great. I hope to do that once i get a better computer and another monitor.
Ok so when I get my video card I can do this.
