West Olive RC/Possible meet?

Theres an 1/8 scale outdoor track in southwest lower michigan. The website is http://westoliverc.com/

They offer free camping, and racing takes place on Saturdays (tentatively).

It would be neat if a few URC members from the midwest area got together this summer. Post here if interested.

I am most definately interested, as I said in PM. I am also willing to help with arranging some sort of prize raffle, as well as possibly a URC only off road tournament (dependant upon who is going to show, and what types of vehicles we end up with).

Anyone who would be willing to make the trip sometime over the summer, please post here. We do not have a date set at all, but would like to know what kind of interest there is in the idea.

I'm hoping to get a decent turn out, since I'd really like to see this happen. I'm about three hours away from there, but I'm more than willing to make the trip if we can nail down a date, and get some people interested.

Thats why we're talkin about a weekend kind of thing, so that those that are further away don't drive for hours to bash and BS fora few hours and then it's done. I'd like to set up some kind of tournament for URC members that show up, with prizes and whatnot.

Besides, I'm not exactly close myself :)

At this point, I'm gonna say it's not likely to happen this year. Perhaps if we can get more people over the winter, we can do it next summer.

I live in holland about 20 min. away. I race at raw roots which is also in west olive. They mostly race electric. it is very layed back. West olive is also nice. They just got clay on the track. A few years ago it used to be alot of electric racing there but now it is almost all 1/8 scale nitro. I have one nitro. it's a tmaxx that only has street tires a guy just gave it to me but i should have some bow ties or something soon. i hope this works out. it would be perfect for me.

We might be able to do it next summer, but there just wasn't enough interest to try it this year.
