computer help!

hey i am having wierd problems with my computer the following are wht it is doing,
-Pages Disapering
-Pages freezing and i have to cntrl+alt+del to get rid of the pg
-internet explorer error report comes up and i hit Don't Send and a Page disapears

I have no clue wht is rong but I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME! i have no virus, i scan every day, i cant even stay on 1 web site for even 5 minutes!!
PLEASE, I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME!!
I have a Dell dimension 8400 and should be a very fast and nice comp! and it is running very slow

ditch internet explorer and get mozilla firefox. You can get it at http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/

Try that first as a start.

ok thanks but is there any quick fix? and do you guys know why this is happening? or wht i could be doing it?

If you go to http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx you can get the WINDOWS DEFENDER. Its from microsoft so you dont have to worry about anything. I was having problems with spyware and unwanted files on my pc and this did the trick. If you couple the windows defender with any other internet security program and run them simultaniously you should rid yourself of your problem quickly. I would reccomend norton internet security, or zonealarm.

Don't be discouraged if you run Defender and install a internet security program and things arent automatically better. It may take a few days for you to get used to the programs, and for you to set them the way you like. When you run an internet security program you'll spend a short time telling your computer what you want to let through or block. GOOD LUCK!

hey traxxas man 05 i had the same problem with my old computer. I actually tried every internet browser available on download.com....none of them worked....the pages just disappeared. Then I got those error messeges every 5 seconds. So I just bought a new pc. I never found a fix for it. I reinstalled windows like 6-10 times, (i lost count), and it still didnt help. It just did it less often. Good luck.

NO software is impervious to security holes. NONE.

They aren't in the headlines as much since they aren't a for-profit company.

In addition, you can get spyware with Firefox. SpyBot won't catch it since it only looks in the IE cookies, cache, and file structure. Go figure.

Download hijackthis, its a program that removes all sorts of crap that your computer is polluted with.
