Can't log onto Steam...

Can anyone else get on? I know me and NewEraXmod can't. I have Source and he has 1.6 but game or version should not affect being able to log onto Steam by itself. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just played Source. It's workin for me...And my friend's playin 1.6 so I assume it's working.

Edit: Maybe it's your ISP? Location?

Steam is being retarted im getting the following error.

My internet connections fine. No firewalls are on. No one hacked my account. Nor have I hacked. It worked fine a few weeks ago but I went to log on and nothing... I did use registry cleaner? Maybe that could have messed it up. Im having some virus/spyware problems too. Right now its a bit better under control ..I ran the following programs

- Window Washer
- Registry Cleaner
- Microsoft Anti-spyware
- Ad-Aware SE
- Disk Cleanup
- Disk Defragmentor

Thats when the error started I beileve. I dont remember exactly.

System restore to the last time it was working...Start->all programs->accessories->system tools->system restore

I've been having this error for about a week after not playing for a month. I'm getting the same error but like NewEra all my other internet programs work. I didn't have spyware/virus problems then or now. I'm just kinda mad I'm losing $20 here that I thought was worth it when I was playing. I'll try it again tommorow.

Steam is working fine for me right now, but it does get kinda stupid sometimes. I just thought it was my wireless connection.

Same here bro...error for a week. After playing maybe 3-4 weeks. Idk...If it dont work tommorw I'll have to system restore.
