Hey,
So I was thinking about possibly getting a PSP. I had a few questions about it though. I was wondering if you can get like AIM or Yahoo messanger or something like that on it? Can you access like normals sites, URC, but they are probably less detailed? Also, can you hook up to like any wireless network that isn't locked? Is the range like a newer laptop? Or is it less powerful?
I really think this would be a fun thing to have, but the price is kind of keeping me back.
Thanks.

I traded my PSP for a FT T4. The accesories and game prices add up to chargers, batteries and spare parts!

PSP's can do anything. I put a program on it to turn on/off my dvd player/wega tv/ and ps2. I also was able to listen to music on my psp from my files on my pc. I use it for aim sometimes, mostly surfing the web and games though. It does it all. BTW I used my psp to type this.

How exactly do you type stuff? I've heard you can buy a little keyboard or something for it, but how does it work without it? Is it hard to type stuff? Does it take a while? Also do songs and pictures go on the memory stick? What else can be put on their?
I would definetely go out and buy one right now, but I don't think I could legally take it out the door :D.

you can put movies music games photos on the memory stick. You can put ANYTHING ;) on it. Typing is definitely slower, but you get used to it. Its faster than a cell phone txt messeging. Right now I'm beta testing syphon filter dark mirror. Its pretty fun online. Not any lag yet. Only one map, but its fun.

An old thread, but I have never been able to figure out the process of uploading video files onto my PSP. I recently downloaded a program called 'PSP Video 9' which is supposed to convert my files to MP4 format, but i'm having a little trouble with it.

Which programs do you guys use for your vids?
