Help!

I recently got this (http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54744) computer, and for awhile, it was running great. But recently, I've had some trouble with it. When I turn it on, everything starts up like normal, but after about five minutes, it either just freezes or the screen will turn black or blue. Is this a hardware problem, or is it just a virus or something. I was thinking reformatting the hard-drive might help, but I'm not sure if I have the right disks. I have one that says MS Office XP Pro, and the other says Windows XP Pro CE. Do I have the right ones, or should I just bring it to a shop to have it checked out? I am desperate to get it fixed 'cause it has BF2 and HL2 on it and I NEED to play them. It’s been weeks! Any help is greatly appreciated, and I'm sorry if I sound like a newb, but I really don't know much about computers.

if it take s a few minutes to lock up, it could be a couple differant things...

1. may be over heating, make sure your CPU cooler is free of dust and stuff. if you have a temp monitor see how hot it is. if its over 60c that is prolly your problem.

2. your vid card may crapping out, bum a card from a buddy to test.

3. combo of one and two.

check thouse fist and go from there.
