I just got two free programs that I think everyone should have. One is called ObjectDock (the little bar at the top of my screen that has the icons in it, same thing that's on a mac) and a thing called Windows Blinds. This lets you make and download custom themes for XP. To get them, go to www.wincustomize.com and click on software, then download all of those programs, they all rock, especially Logon Studio and Bootskin. Next, click on gallery, and then on what program you want to download skins for, and just sort by rating. Oh, and if anyone can tell me how to get rid of the recycle bin icon that would be great. :D

no, not at all. But what does matter is what's in your lappy though. Is it a pentium 4 or an Athlon/Opteron? And what graphics card does it have?
How much does this slow down your computer.

It doesn't slow down my computer at all. Even on my dad's 1.0 ghz Celeron laptop, it doesn't slow it down one bit.
Ok I'm getting it to try it.
I downloaded Windows Blinds, ObjectDock, BootSkin, and LogonStudio and love them. The only problem is that you have 60 days to purchase Windows Blinds, which I might do but not right now. I'll try and get pictures up later.

Edit 2: Removing the Recycle Bin.

I downloaded TweakUI and it was extremely easy.
No Recycle Bin (http://community.webshots.com/photo/546718926/2858750050045130869RmFyav)
Edit 3: Removed ObjectDock.
I removed ObjectDock because I couldn't get used to using it. Instead of replacing the Recycle Bin on the desktop, I chose to keep my desktop empty and put a link to the Recycle Bin on the Start Menu.
No ObjectDock (http://community.webshots.com/photo/546718926/2805182020045130869kJESId)
Edit 4: Firefox?
Is anyone else having a compatability problem with Windows Blinds and Firefox that cause the webpage being displayed to shake? I've narrowed it down to that but have yet to find a solution.
Edit 5: Fixed
Fixed the problem by using a feature in Windows Blinds to disable the skin on certain programs. Basically the only noticable difference is the title bar is colored different but all the other colors in the window are the same as the skin. But no shaking, which is good.

Gotta love the Edit button... :D
