Ok, I don't know if you guys remember when I ran my crappy Celeron system through a 1m Super Pi calculation...That was a 2.8ghz celly, 512mb of ram...And it got 1 minute, 50 seconds. My new Athlon 64, WITHOUT any overclocking and with an Athlon 64 3500+ @ 2.2 ghz and 256mb of ram (my 2gb will be here tomorrow) got only 39 seconds for 1m super pie. w00t!

Congrats, although I have no clue what you just said. I am really into computers and all, but what the hell did all that mean? lol, umm, I feel pretty dumb right now.

Super Pi is where your processor calculates Pi to 1 million digits. Overclocking is where you use the BIOS to make your computer run faster than it is designed to. An Athlon 64 is a processor. And I presume you know what RAM is. No need to feel dumb :D

Yeah feel really dumb. I only know how to turn on the computer and type. Plus download photos and upload them onto the net.

AMD Athlon "Barton" 2500+ overclocked to 2200mhz, 1GB Corsair RAM..... 53seconds.

I'm surprised my system faired this well against what other people are listing, this is a pretty old and obselete processor compared to many others. I bought it simply to be a workhorse, and it definetly is that.

AMD Athlon 2000 with a slight O/C..(153mhz boost). 512mb DDR400 ram. 1 min 20s. Damn I feel outdated :(

But none the less, I've put no money into this machine for a good couple of years so I don't mind.

I'm afraid to try. I think my computer may die. If you never hear from me again, you'll know why........

Wow. It survived. 1m 02s

Now, what is the point of that? just to see how quick your computer is?
