PS3 (have a slim PS2 now) or both -- it all depends upon the games and what friends end up playing.

I have the 360 now and it is amazing!!!!!! Ill buy a PS3 just to sell tho. I think the ps3 will be a little better but I really dont like the PS games and plus sony has some serious ground to make up on online play. Id like to see an actual ps3 run some stuff because right now most all of the stuff is just rendered.

Sort through each of the console specifications and see which one sounds more impressive to you.

Yes...yes you are.
It seems to me that microshaft didnt do their homework on the 360. Game crashes due to overheating damage to both the graphics processor and CPU?? God, even dumb computer people know that you need good cooling on them to prevent damage.
Anyway, stuff consoles. PC is THE gaming platform, and always has been. The whole idea of a console becoming cheaper but better than a gaming PC is just ludicrous. If that were the case, the companies would go bankrupt quicker than you can say ziggyzaggydook.

the wifes brother has had his for a couple weeks thanks to mountain dew.
he hasnt had any issues with it, I have played couple games on it. its ok, but 1. its 400 bucks 2. I'm not a console guy. 3. its 400 bucks.
but the one gripe that I have herd from the wifes brother is that the wireless controler isnt sensitive enough for his liking.
oh, the real spiffy graphics that everyone wants, well if you dont have a real nice TV (like HDTV) ya aint getting the spiffy graphics.
think I'll take my 400 and get me a new vid card for my pc.

What about the Nintendo Revoloution? I just read up on it, it can play NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Revoloution games, not to mention DVD's. The NES is possibly my favorite system and after nearly 21 years it isn't what it used to be so I could buy a Revoloution or a NEX. Sounds pretty sweet to me.

yea ive heard nintendo is gonna rape ya 20 bux for any old game u want......$20? I was thinking they were gonna' have a slot to put N64, NES, and SNES, games in. $20 is nuts, I'll take my $5-$12 games from eBay then.
$20?!?! No way, that'd eliminate the only cool thing the Revolution would have going for it. Classic games are the bomb, but for $20 you should get at least 6.

Another reason to have a PC: great games are relatively cheap...

I hate computer gaming. If the revoloution can't accept regular NES games I'll just buy a NEX for $60. My SNES works perfectly and N64 and Lamecube games suck. I guess I'm getting a little off topic...

Well, this is how I see it. I plan on buying the Xbox 360 because I'll be able to get it for a good price by the time I have the money to buy one (will be 16 in a few months, so that rules out Christmas money for one). Plus, my family plans on buying a new HDTV in April, which would be a good time for me to get one when I can get a good discount. I am loving the current selection of Xbox 360 games that are coming up, so I'm pretty sure I'll be getting that. I have definately considered the PS3, as it is just as good in my book, but the new Xbox looks liek a better option for me. Either one is awesome though!

The Killzone game for PS3 just looks sick, but I seemed to enjoy the other games the 360 offers (halo fan!) :toocool:

the Neintendo system wont play the old cart type games you have, you have to DL them to the system and/or play them online.
from nintendo's site
Backward Compatibility.
Revolution will play all of your favorite Nintendo GameCube games. An innovative self-loading media bay will play both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system as well as Nintendo GameCube discs. You can also equip a small, self-contained attachment to play movies and other DVD content.
Huge Historic Library.
Revolution will have downloadable access to 20 years of fan-favorite titles originally released for Nintendo 64, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and even the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

not to mention the nes will have a sweet gyro/sensor/magical controller. Imagine first person shooters where you actually have to move! I bet alot of the level 30+ guys on halo 2 are going to suck at it due to the physical activity involved.

See, id like either to be honest, but because of game selection ill have to go with ps3 cuz ps has the rpgs and more variety of games i like. But i figure, if my best bud audiokid gets the 360 and i get the ps3 we can have the best of both worlds, granted we couldnt trade games but we can play eachothers and make records at eachothers houses so i see it as all good.

I AGREE....
I going to be buying a Xbox 360 when the price drops in the spring "most likely"... I dont Like the Ps games as well they seem like some of them are just sloped together almost worthless of playing. I like Xbox b/c of their ever growing online Play... I have never really talk to anyone that plays on PS online games.. I also HATE the game controls for PlayStation.. Even tho Xbox their a little bigger I think it fits in the hands better. As most of you can see that Xbox vs Ps2 the graphics for the Xbox were better. I do Agree with the Specs that the PS3 is the better buy, but I am still going to go with the Xbox 360. I think that graphics wise its going to be a very close call. I will probably pre-buy an PS3 to sell it on Ebay.<<gots the hook ups to get on the list first. I dont know if they will sell as well as the xbox's are..
:devious: "My thoughts dont need to be judged"
