Hey all, I need a new laptop, and I need to custom build it, where is the best place with teh best prices? I am going to get about 2gigs ram, 80 gig HD, and hopefully above a 3.0 ghz processor, also I want a decent vid card.

If your in the US then, newegg is definitly THE best you can order form. My entire computer came form there peice by peice without any hassle.
Im not sure that they sell laptop parts, although i never looked into it.

you can get bare bones kits, then add in the drives and vid card of your like'n...
you can get them at newegg, tiger direct, lots of places...

There are no barebone laptop kits on newegg. I've never seen a barebone laptop kit for sale before, but probably because I've never really needed one.

to me a barbone lappy is a whitebox notebook... but if he dont want to build it then are some links, but if you dont build it be prepared to pay through the nose for it...
these will play darn near if not everything out now....

if you go the parts route...has 6600 graphics and will play most games with tweeking on the display settings.

Im not building peice by piece, im getting a base laptop and adding ym parts all online so it ships built and rtr:)
