Hi everyone, I haven't been around for a long time but in my absence I've been doing lots of cool things like vacuum-forming car bodies and portablzing consoles. Since the N64 is my favorite system I decided to give it the treatment.

How old are you? Where did you find the knowledge to do such a thing?
I just noticed the L and R buttons on the side of the case!

Glad you guys like it. My electronics knowledge is basically what I learn from the internet (gawking at part datasheets and such.)
You basically learn as you go :)
I'm 15 years old. :) (Got my rustler when I was 13)

The music sounds "True Men of Genius" Budwiser comercial, but wow that is truly something awesome. I love N64 games and it would be sweet to play it like a handheld.
Can you make my N64 portable for me? Im serious, i would love to play it in the car. Your only 15!? Hats off to you, mr. N64 portabalizer. (budweiser commercial "real american heroes" song plays)

Hey is there an echo or are you agreeing? Once again, nice work...but what kind of batteries does it run on?
Maybe the gell cell? You'd get hours and hours of play on it, maybe even a couple days......don't know how much amp draw a N64 has.

It runs off of 10 AA cells, they're the 2200mAH NiMH type.
The N64 actually draws over 1 amp on the 3.3v line, and just a few hundred milliamperes on the 12v line (it just goes to a 7805 regulator.)
If I used a better switching regulator (to drop the 12v down to 3.3v) then the battery life would be better. But now it stands at around 1 hour.
A portable Super Nintendo is on the way, with a custom vacuum-formed case and better battery life :)
