My pc is running windows 98 and i am getting an ipod nano. I know itunes wont work with my pc so how can I transfer the songs I already have on my pc? Can I just use a usb cable?

You can always put the songs onto a CD-RW and then put the songs through itunes. If not you could find someone with a flashdrive and put them all onto that and then transfer the songs.

You need a computer compatible with iTunes and then set that up for your nano. The nano does have the usb connection but you have to upload the songs from the iTunes/iPod format. If you have Limewire or other downloading software then you hav eot save it to the computer as a file and then on iTunes you have to click file and go to upload file to Library. Then find the Limewire ( or whatever other software) and the file you saved. Then jsut open it and it's in the library.

musicmatch is supposed to work as well, and it did for me for a while, and then suddenly stopped working so i switched to itunes. i consider itunes much easier to use, but i think musicmatch should suit your needs.
