BF vietnam. "wrong version" window.

well i jsut bought BF vietnam because it was cheap and i loved battlefield 1942. and when i go to play a multiplayer game it says i have the wrong version and if i want to look for updates. but if i click yes for it to search it just sits there and doesnt find anything (ive had it search for 5 minutes.)

im having no problems with the rest of the game its just it wont let me play multiplayer games.

also am having a problem with 18 wheels of steel pedal to the metal. its not allowing it to open up. first the graphics window opens up and i go to play it and it says it cant open.

well if you just bought it (BF) then the 1.2 patch is about 300mb. you can get it here (http://www.eagames.com/official/battlefield/vietnam/us/editorial.jsp?src=demo_editorial)

as for the other errors ?? first thing is to get all the updated drivers for the games and the video card.

what is your vid card?

never mind, just saw it in the other post, get the newest nvidia drivers and get the latest patch for the game. I have an old game called shogo, and it didnt like the new nivida cards, neede a patch to fix the game.

well i did this one
v1.2 Update - 295MB

but it still does it.

i also downloaded and installed the patch for 18WOS. but it still doesnt work. so can you help with finding out my problem? (im to the point of throwing my computer out the window and returning the games, and im not joking!)

when you play BF, can you start your onw sever? also have you tried to connect to diff servers?


if nothing else, dump the games, delete the folders after the uninstall, then reinstall and update to latest patches.

if that dont work?
