I thought I'd finally get rid of my trusty 2x256mb of corsair. Did (still does in another computer) ddr500 cas2. So, I'm upgrading to a gig of this ram here, http://nintek.com.au/x/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1689, has a good rap like being able to overclock with extra voltage. Also, a new socket 939 board and cpu.
I'd heard about the AMD E3 revision (codename-Venice) athlon 64 being able to overclock to heaven and beyond, 3.0ghz under liquid cooling :ninja:
So, my E3 Venice 3000+ is coming on tuesday :D
Hoping for at least 2700mhz.
Here are some examples of Venice overclocks fellow members of Overclockers Australia have gained. Some are over 1ghz the normal speeds :eek:
Some of the standouts: List includes the cpu manufacturing week, cooling, voltage used, motherboard used and the HTT freq. (frontside-bus basically).
