Last year I went through a brief phase of case modding/overclocking etc. Got bored of it pretty quick, now my computer sits in the corner gathering dust.

None the less, its bling bling specs:

Athlon 2000 O/C to 2700 w/FSB of around 170
Asus board, I think its something like an A7V8X
512MB DDR400 ram
Saphire Radeon 9600 Pro (PITA to overclock..not even worth trying)
80GB SATA HD, 80GB Data HD, ATA133
Benq 40x12x48
DVD ROM 16x
550W "silent" twin fan PSU
Akasa fan control unit, in total 9 fans, all silent variety so its really quiet when they get turned down

Split partitioned 20gb Windows XP/25GB Slackware Linux/1GB Shared VM/rest is shared games/data partition

Yes its wildly out of date compared to todays standards, but hey, it does what I need it to. And the CPU's been stable like that for about 16 months now.

I'll link to another picture, a desktop interface I created last year based on Startrek..very functional, and cool to use with all sorts of neat bits tucked into it, unfortunately lost it in a HD crash so all I got are pics.

Asus A8n-SLI mobo (nforce 4)
Athlon 64 3200+ running at 2200mhz
1gb Crucial Valuram DDR 400
BFG 6600GT Oc'd to 535mhz core and 1.11GHz memory
Some gawdy no name case
550watt psu

3dMark05 Score: 3849 (good for 6600gt, but that aint sayin much)
1M superpi: 39sec

I finally put side covers on my case, didn't want to go with the traditional lexan like my old box, so I used bubblewrap. Yup, if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't know what it was. All of my wire covering is UV reactive, but I dont have a uv light yet. Going water cooled in a few weeks.
