Did you see the vid where the guy beats the game in like 8 minutes or something? Its crazzzyyyy. Its like 8 seconds a level, he gets all the flutes and teleports worlds and what-not, pretty crazy.

Getting the flutes isn't hard at all.
I WOULD call the vid insane, if it was real. I've seen it before. It was faked. The guy programed what mario would do at certain times. It's an old trick for people with emulators, and more free time than me.
My run was completely real. No hacks, no nothing.

On nintendo, or comp? if your taking about the little grey nintendo box.. its like the size of a 50" tv hahaha, and little grey controller with 2 buttons on it.. I bet I could try and beat that.. and mario 1 I can concure in about 9-10 min with 11 lifes, and not dieing.

I did this on an emulator, but what are you talking about? The original NES system was't that large.
Compare it to an XBox. NES is smaller.
As far as you beating my time, no. Not possible. I take the fastest path possible without stopping. 7 seconds is the holy grail of level 1. 6 seconds isn't possible.
And I'm doubting you can tie my time too. I can pull off 7 seconds about 1/15 times i try, and I'm a hardcore gamer(2 words that look funny next to eachother). I've been to many gaming competitions, and more often than not, I place quite well. I've been playing games since before you were born.
I'm not saying it's impossible for you to reach 7 seconds, just unlikely.
And don't diss the old school systems. :D

I wish i didnt sell my NES, i like that better than my N64 and ps2 probably. And the sad thing is, i play tetris on my huge original gameboy when i have my advance sitting right there. But hey, i go for old school over new school anyday, i wear my dads old track shirts from 1978 and his airforce shirts form the 80's, hell, right now im wearing his pants that he wore when he was 14 ( im 14) they are ghetto, from like 1970 something. have a fold crease down the legs, bell bottomish, if you've seen "hide" on that 70's show, ive got his pants and i have reds coat, no joke same exact green coat. lol. i hate it when ppl re-make old school, torks me off. anyways, back to games, i love gaming. so fun. my favorite games on the NES were like

haha, I have 2 of those old school Nintendos, about 45 games, and all I play is Mario 1....... Never did like 2, or 3.

But if I get 7 Seconds on mario 3 or what ever, i'll have to bust out my buddys digital camera.

Emulators aren't anything like the real deal. I pull out the ole NES for some hardcore 8 bit gaming every once in a while. I got way too many games, lol. I have SUper Mario Bros. 1 and 3, I like 3 more sometimes, 1 more at others.

Does it screw up when you try to play the game, and do you have to take out the cartridge, blow in it to clean it out, and try re inserting it differently to get it to work? No. Emulators are nothing like the real deal, and you don't even have the totally un ergonomic NES controller that gives your hand cramps either. I'll gladly take the real deal over your new age gadgets.:lol:

An emulator is basically a large pc program that makes your computer act as a video game console.

Long live Nintendo! :evil: Old school Mario is where its at, all the new Mario games arent near as fun as the old ones. I still have my NES and the original Gameboy. I wish I still had my super though, I sure do miss that thing. :( 7 seconds is friggin' crazy though man! :eek:
