Im just using a standard wireless router which is wired to my main pc and the wireless router interacts with my psp and other computers.
Its quite simple to be honest :)

My brother doesnt want to ruin the current setup. (We dont have good luck with getting internet to work successfully.) I dont want to make him mad. He'd go buckwild if I screwed it up again.

I can understand that.

Without upgrading your router, a "Wireless Access Point" is your best bet. Several people have already mentioned them, but nobody's explained it very thoroughly.

An access point (AP) will basically act as a pass-through between your current wired network, and the wireless network you are creating. You won't need to change the wired portion of your network at all; you just plug the AP into your brothers' router.

One thing you will need to keep in mind with the wireless network is privacy. A wired network is securly confined to its wires. A wireless network, on the other hand, is open to anyone within range of your wireless signal. Take care to read the documentation that comes with your AP, and learn about its security options (especially adjusting signal strength). Then use them :P .

As for picking out a specific Access Point, I would recommend going to your local CompUSA, Best Buy, or whatever computer store you may have. They should be able to explain things in greater detail than I can here.

Good luck!

Thanks, that really clears some stuff up. Im thinking of getting netgear A.P. if they have one.
