I just bought GT4 the other day and when i started playing i was very disappointed in the way the makers of this game made the cars handle. The handling of all cars is like an arcade game.I think GT4 relates to Burnout 3 to much and i think GT3 is still the most realistic racecar game, handling wise.
Did any of you feel the same when you played GT3 then played GT4?
Does anyone get me when i say the handling of all cars is so fake?
ummm. I thaught GT3 was the Un-realistic one, cause of the way you can slow down much faster and turn alot easier, but in GT4, it takes longer to slow down and turn like a real car?

I liked GT4 at first, but Im tired of it now, it was a waste of money. The steering is slow, you lose all turning abilities while braking, once you lose control a tad you are screwed, its dramatized realism.
Im actually thinking about taking back the copy I had on preorder over a month before the game came out and payed extra to get, its just not worthy of my collection.

It feels exactly the same as GT3 to me, just enhanced graphics and eleventy billion nissans.
That sucks , I was really looking forward to the new game . I have an XBOX now , but I'v had PS2 4 different times . I wanna get another PS2 just because of the GT4 hype . If it's not that good though I don't really wanna waste my cash . I love all the GT games , they are very realistic .
I was reading something in my Game Informer mag and it said that GT4 now has a bad driving penality . How do you think that affects the game ? I think that aspect of it sounds kinda lame , but thats just me . Just shows how I drive huh ;) .
I think I'll wait untill one of my friends buys the game first and then see how I like it .

Actually, the driving penatly is only in Special Events, and it slows you down to 30 for 5 seconds... But if you can brake and turn thats not a problem :)
edit: believe me or not but you can actualy make your car turn and handle good!! all you need is the wing the suspension kit and the stage 5 turbo.
Maybe you would be better suited to NFS or something along those lines? lol

Hey is it just me or is there not the Suzuki Escudo Peaks Edition in the game, I didn't see it.
Yeah its there, but you have to win it, so to win it you might need to do a MASSIVE dirt track lol...

hey did any of you have to do the IA license thing where you have to make it around that like 12 mile track without crashing the mercedes benz, i am stuck on that
Yeah It took me all day to do it.... Just because I like to go fast and would always crash at like 7-9 minuates...

same here, almost broke the controler from throwing it on the ground after I was about 9 minutes ten seconds in, I was on the last really sharp corner and slid right into the grass

Key reason I dont like GT, all the licensing bs of which if you literally have no patience, youve just wasted money on a game you cant get into. Plus the braking, steering, accleration, handling, its all exaggerated, its not that hard to recover a fishtail on dry asphault/concrete, its not that hard to take a 90* corner at 40-50mph, you dont lose steering holding the brakes around corners, NASCARs have the brakes on enterying a turn and I dont see them going straight ahead into the wall, touring racers have the brakes on all the way through a turn until the last bit where they get on it again, and apparently they made the turn. And for Christ's sake, a stock Camaro concept car wont take like 7-8 seconds to hit 60mph. They say this is the ultimate racing game for realism, if they mean in exaggeration and out of proportion controls, then yea, its the ultimate.
No longer am I an owner of this game, Im perfectly happy with my NFSU 1 and 2.
Well , no game is gonna be in the exact specs of the realism of anything . They just try to get as close as possible with out having exhaust and oil coming from the game/console itself if you know what I mean .
I used to have gameshark and if I really couldn't get passed something then I would just get what I need with the gameshark . I would only do that if I tried and tried and threw my controller down a couple times to many  .

actually today i learned that if you set your car up the custom way it actualy turnes like a real car!

what do you do for a setup
I really like the game, it's so big and spacious lol.
I got a force feedback wheel as like a combo when I bought the game, man that thing makes it fun. The graduation test for the IA Liscence (Nissan Lemans car) is soo intense with the steering wheel, you can really feel it.
Anyone else like the Nike 2022 concept car? It feels awesome on the Nurburgring.
Who else would be interested to start up GT4 competitions again? I think it would be sweet to have like a drag strip competition, but there would have to be a few limitations (Tires, types of cars, HP etc)
Anyone up for that??
EDIT: Ohhhh, I saw that some other forums had GT4 Photo comps, were we can show off our cars and driving and photography etc. But I'd rather the pics be of racing only, Not really a fan of most of those fake photoshoot locations.

the nike car is cool, it stinks you can't race it, it handles good but you have to get used to it
