I'm looking for some free 3D Cad programs that do not use DOS
There's a trial version of Solidworks that came with my $50 book, but........1. I'm using it, and 2. it's only good for 90 days.

I have a trial version of Vector CAD/CAM that came with my lathe and the full version of PTC.
You won't find a decent CAD program for less than $200

I heard that one is hard to learn, don't s'pose that ever slowed down Arif though!
MasterCAM isnt cheap. 2g's min
You can pick up TruboCAD for $60. its legit, not to bad for home type stuff, also compatible with alot of other cad programs.

I use autocad (what my current work has) I have used solidworks, catia, and unigraphics. I prefer UG, but I get by with autocad (for the 3d part) and surfcam (for the cnc part)
