You guys may have noticed I haven't been around URC for a while. This is true. I haven't even pulled out the B4 in over a month. Why? Well, I couldn't afford to. I've been saving up for a few months now and am now officially ready to replace my aging Pnetium III 733 mhz machine. See attached image.
It's an Athlon64 3200+ processor with a gig of RAM. I'm using a cheap motherboard until I'm convinced that my mobo is the bottleneck of the system. The power supply you see is 500 watts in an acrylic case with sleeved, UV-reactant cables and dual 80 mm blue LED fans with a speed controller. I also picked up an NEC dual-layer 16x DVD+R drive. I'll be using the DVD-ROM from my current computer along with my floppy and hard drives (170 and 25 gigs), and GeForceFX5200 (crap) video card.
Needless to say, it should eb a step up from what I'm running now. Heh. I still need to get the beta of Windows XP 64-bit Edition as well as the 64-bit edition of Mandrakelinux 10.1
The RAM and DVD burner are coming from Newegg.com, along with this (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-196-005&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE&depa=0) case:

I hope to be around more often soon, guys. :)
