svchost.exe help a member get his computer back

Hi every one im in need of some help and quick. I have no clue what happend to my computer and im turning to you. As the title says my svchost.exe program is constantly running at 99% cpu and wont stop.I have no internet.:mad: I have had my neighbore that is really good with computs try and fix it but no luck he says that my computer cannot find my IP/or it says that my IP is already in use. Dose any one have any clue why/how this could be? As i have said in some other thread i am only able to get onto the internet with my LINUX disk that runs befor windows opens. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! the "svchost.exe" controls DLL files at start up, once running your cant stop/restart it. it is normal to have multi "svchost.exe" process running, but it NOT normal for it to be running at 99%.

you may have a worm (W32.Welchia.Worm or the Blaster.worm maybe) that is taking advantage of a hole in the "svchost.exe" windows has a patch for this, you sould have got it in a windows update. with it only affecting your windows side of your machine and not your linux side I want to say you got a bug, you can get romoval tools from Symantic that will scan your drive for the specific worm

Ok so what your saying I need to get a patch and and install it on my comp?

try a scan to see if you have one of the worms

run you anti virus update, do a full scan all hard drives.

then run a windows update

then (if you dont have them already) get spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html and adaware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ they are free, they will remove spyware and adware

if you stiil have the prob then, well..... deal with that when we get there.

well i dont if that stuff would have worked because my mom gave the computer to a family friend and he basicly deleted are c:drive and it is fixed i guess... thanks for the input
