Does gaming on a laptop destroy it or make it not last as long? I'm playing halo on all the lowest settings (graphics-wise) and my dad says that it's ruining our laptop. It runs fine. No glitching, nothing. What do you guys think?
It's only bad if it's getting hot. Other than that, you're fine. Just use the little extender things or buy some sort of fan stand for it and everything's cool.

It's true that games are not generally made to be run on laptops (due to expansion limitation, keyboard configurations, and other stuff that I don't care too much about since my laptop is ten years old), but if you aren't melting down its insides, I'm sure that you don't have anything to worry about. If DVDs don't hurt it, games shouldn't.
oh yea i just found this out too, dont hold the laptop in your lap, it can lead to infertility.

i work on computers and yes temperature is an issue. depending on your laptop the manafacturer may have a temperature monitor you can install that will show the system temp. for the most part components don't take damage until they get over 150 Fahrenheit, so as long as it's below that you should be safe.
and Lilt, i think you may have just hit upon a new form of birth control.:rollin:
