Im buying that card entirely for the fact that it has a 6800 core, and not bad memory. I think Johnny J knows less about comps than others, as Im sure most people know that a 6800 would kill any other 256mb card other than the GT or Ultra 6800 boards.

Yes, you can get cheaper 256 cards, but they wont have NEAR the performance of the 6800non-ultra.

i myself use a 128mb pci express x16 ATI Radeon x300 se, snot sure how good that is but it runs half-life 2 and cs:s with full graphics on and in lcd resolution.

X300 is just a crippled old radeon 9000 on a bridged PCI-E circuit board. Anything else than cs-s would show how crap that card is. My 5200 could prolly beat it.

Well, my Gainward GLH came, im pretty darn happy :D. Teh card at stock 400/1200 frequencies gets 20872 3dmarks in 01, and 12730 in 03. Overclocking the core was lustless, it bearly made 20mhz diff b4 artefacting....maybe bios flash to ultra=more volts is in order. Memory goes pretty well tho, from 1200 to 1280 aint bad for top memory running its limit. No gains there in 3dmarks or fps in games, already enough mem speed.

Ive settled for 420 core/1230 memory which gets me 21200 in 3d01, but i cant break 13000 in 03 :(

Maybe .1 extra volt will get me a more core headroom for that 13k run.
