Half Life 2 and Counter Strike Source

Hey, any one played half life 2 or CS Source?

Im in the process of downloading both now, couple more hours and it should be done.

Hopefully it should be a good game, I never played CS or HL much before due to lack of broadband and the fact I never had the right patch, hopefully this should be a fresh start. :toocool:

Im downloading it from the Steam servers, CS Source finished, but throughout the night HL2 stopped, so I had to start it again this morning.

i got hl2 this morning and it is coooooooooooooooollll i love the game sooooooooo much the graphix are suuuper good and best of all its not boring! :) :) :) :) :) :) ;) :) :) :) )

tell me about cs:s did they source all the classic maps? more then 2 player models?

Chinokix, I really don't know, I only played the CS a few times, and didn't really take notice of anything lol

My understanding is that there are only about 3-4 classic maps that were converted to the source engine. CS:S is basically like an ongoing project (regarding maps and models). Although I think they have 3 models for each side so far.

Honestly though, unless you like CS1.6, skip CS:S. Its basically just CS1.6 on the Source engine.

CS:S is just 1.6 with some better graphics. There is still Dust and a few Ice_world maps. I really like it so far but I don't really know how to set up a LAN game with it. You have to be online to start it but we don't have a internet conection in the biulding we are using for LAN parties. Any ideas???
