Hi peeps

I just done up my old system....cant remember much of the specs apart from the processor (P2-350Mhz), the problem im having is that i cant use the mouse!
The connector on the motherboard is serial, so im using a ps/2 to serial converter for the mouse.......but windows XP just doesnt know its there.
The mouse cursor is there, i cant move it though:confused:

I checked that the com1 and com2 ports are activated in the bios and in the devise manager for win XP.

This one has me stumped, any suggestions?

serrial mouse... I'd go get a new mouse and save the head ache of finding the drivers for that, and most likely they wont exist anyway because I dont think that XP supports serrial devices even if its converted to ps2 port.

kudos for having a serrial mouse live this long.

I ran Pro on a 233. It worked really slowly. Then I upgraded.

XP Pro runs fine on it, its not the main PC so its just gonna be used for wordprocessing and internet browsing.
