ok well my dad has a pc with windows xp home and a video card made by NVIDIA its called the GeForce4 MX 440 and its fan is starting to wine again (same thing happened to the first one 6 months after we got it) the complete card was replaced (somehow the fan cant just be replaced) and my dad is fedup with the problem and wants to upgrade to a better video card and i am wondering what is a good video card to use (best game on the computer is battlefield 1942 secret weapons of WWII)

X800 or a 6800GT if you got the money but i'd probably say get a 9800

what would you say is a good replacement/upgrade for the card we have right now that is priced resonable?

Those are reasonable prices for those calibre of cards. If you need somethin a little cheaper, check out the ATI 9600pro or 9600XT. Theyll give you much better bang for the buck. Other cards are things such as the Nvidia FX5700ultra.

The card i named will keep ya going for a couple of years maybe more.

the radeon 9600 series are a bit dated by todays standards, i would recomend a radeon 9800 pro as they have decent performance and are reasonably priced.
