I'm looking to dive into linux after being a hardcore windows person since 98 SE... I had a box already completely built with more than enough stuff for linux. Only problem is it has an AMD processer and I can't find any stable distributions supporting it. Any help would be appreciated...

Edit: I did succesfully run Knoppix 3.1 over the windows OS but that just runs completely off the CD. I plan to Fdisk it before I install Linux.
